This is a great little player for lossless audio! The biggest issue that I've seen listed in reviews is a problem with the touch wheel - specifically that it's 'jumpy' or is very difficult to control. There is nothing wrong with the wheel, it's supposed to be this way - you'll actually appreciate it if you have a list of several hundred files to scroll through. BUT, until you get to that point it can be VERY difficult to use so the way that you fix the problem is to go into the settings and find the setting callled 'Scroll Wheel Press Function.' Change this to OFF and the scroll wheel will work the way that you're expecting it to. This setting has nothing to do with what happens when you push the center button in the scroll wheel; it only controls the speed of.
The AP60 isn’t the perfect budget player, but it does balance its compromises with incredibly useful features such as Bluetooth support, OTG and Host mode. I’m almost inclined to say that the player is at its best when paired with an external DAC/AMP through OTG or Bluetooth headphone, both of which negate its sonic shortcomings, making the AP60 a great flexible, inexpensive GUI for your favourite gear. The addition of expandable storage, wide file support and simple drag/drop file transfers does make it the endlessly more liveable device when compared to the iPod Nano, though I can still see the benefits of the iPod’s touch interface and slimmer profile. It is also a great alternative to the Fiio M3 for those in need of the extra features and a more capable interface. Ultimately, the AP60 provides a great feature set augmented by a pleasing software and audio experience.

As China Crisis once sang, The Bigger the Punch I'm Feeling, but in a smaller package.Just received my new Bassplay today, so this is merely first impressions, but so far this diminutive lossless player seems to be pretty fantastic. It's quite a bit tinier than I thought it would be, but portability-wise, it's amazing. It seems reasonably sturdy. I've used my trusty iPod Classic 160 GB for at least the past 11 years or so. I still love it, but what I never was terribly fond of was dealing with ITunes, being locked into using it exclusively, and not being able to use lossless FLAC files, and all the conversion headaches, and also, lately ITunes was just malfunctioning, and I think my IPod was about ready to die, it kept locking on me and I kept having to restore it. Not a good sign.
It got to be irritating enough. I've been using my smartphone to listen to music for quite a while and I am always concern about draining the battery. I've decided to search for an DMP (Digital music player) and first thought of an iPod but after some research, it was determined they are too expensive just for music. I've heard and read a lot about Fiio for some time and took the plunge. The main reason for buying this music player is if I want I could use I can use a up to a 512 micro SD and having a type C connection. Main issue I have with this player is the lack of music organizer on the computer.

I've used mediamonkey but it was hit or miss. After adding all the music I was able to make a playlist on the device. I use the media player everyday for work and last me. I don't want to waste my phone's battery so I decided to purchase a dedicated music player that plays my music collection particularly when I am on travel and on the road.
One of the reason I prefer this type of music player over iPod is because it does not require me to install iTunes on my PC. Transferring songs onto the player only requires you to connect the player to your PC via a USB cable. Your PC should then automatically detect the hard drive and the attached microSD if you have one inserted. At that point you can simply drag'n'drop the songs you want onto the music player storage drive.
This is a painless process. As far as music output, the music player can drive my Fostex T-X0 (similar to Fostex T50RP), Sennheiser HD 6xx and Grado sr80e without an amplifier. The Fostex T50RP is known to be.
